SAPICS members are invited to attend a Site Visit at CHEP's SAMRAND Service Centre.

Samrand is CHEP South Africa's newest and biggest service centre that was commissioned in 2023. It is designed to improve efficiencies during the conditioning process. Visitors can expect to see the introduction of robotics and technology enhancements that include Automated Defect Identification. ADI uses camera and radar technology to conduct End-of-Line quality inspection which ultimately improves the quality of conditioned pallets to our customers.

Furthermore, this service centre's layout is designed to serve customer vehicles faster and safer, by allowing space for trucks inside the premises and using COLT systems to speed up the administration process.

CHEP Samrand, services pallets and IBCs (Intermediate Bulk Containers) to manufacturers, retailers and agriculture customers in Gauteng, Limpopo and Mpumalanga provinces.
